Formerly part of Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic officially came into being on January 1st 1993. Since then the tourism sector has grown massively, with the capital city of Prague being the real jewel in the crown. The city is home to an imposing 9th century castle, a magnificent medieval old town and many historic buildings that will have you reaching for your camera.
Prague on its own is a city break that oozes charm, but when you combine it with the likes of Berlin, Vienna and Budapest, you’ve got a multi-centre holiday that will live long in your memory.
